Diamondhead Fundraiser for Rep. Jeramey Anderson - UPDATE

DIAMONDHEAD, Miss - Due to an unforeseen family obligation, Montel Williams has canceled his appearance at a campaign fundraiser for MS-04 Democratic nominee Jeramey Anderson. The fundraiser will still be held this Sunday, April 8th, and will feature former Secretary of State of Missouri, Jason Kander. Jason is the founder of the national organization, Let America Vote. Both invited guests support Representative Anderson’s bid for U.S. Congress. Anderson serves on the national board of directors of Let America Vote.

Representative Anderson caught the eye of Montel Williams, an outspoken TV personality and political commentator, when first elected to the Mississippi State Legislature. In a statement released to the campaign Mr. Williams talks about why he supports Jeramey’s bid for Congress:

“I’ve followed Jeramey’s career for some time now, and I continue to be impressed with how driven he is to make his constituents’ lives better. Jeramey sees a brighter future for Mississippi that realizes its incredible potential. For too long, Mississippi politics have been reactionary and the results haven’t been good for Mississippians. Some might say Jeramey is too young to go to Congress – I see him as the best hope for a better future for Mississippi.” -Montel Williams

Tickets remain on sale for the event. It will be held this Sunday, April 8th at the Diamondhead Country Club in Diamondhead, Mississippi from 5-7 PM. You can find information regarding the event on the campaign’s social media sites and on the campaign’s official website at www.JerameyForMississippi.com, Facebook at Jeramey Anderson for Congress, and

Twitter @JerameyForMS.
