COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Mississippi Representative Jeramey Anderson is slated to speak in a forum for young politicians at the National Urban League Conference in Columbus, Ohio. The annual conference, being held August 1-5, focuses on political and social efforts to save our cities. This year they are directing that focus using the digital revolution to enable community improvements.


Representative Anderson joins a long list of politicians, leaders, innovators, and celebrities who use their platform to improve their cities and towns using community based solutions. He will be featured Thursday as a panelist in the forum discussion, Young, black, and elected - The New Era of Leadership.


This year’s conference features headline guests including Chief Operating Officer of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg, and Tarana Burke, Founder of the #MeToo Movement, and U.S. Representative from Ohio’s 3rd District, Hon. Joyce Beatty. The conference will also include a performance from the American Idol winner, Fantasia.
