Moss Point's Rep. Jeramey Anderson to receive MIPAD under 40 award

MOSS POINT, Miss. -- Rep. Jeramey Anderson (D-Moss Point) has been named as one of the the Most Influential People of African Descent under the age of 40 by the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent.
"Through my travels abroad, I formed relationships with young politicians from Kenya, Nigeria, and many other places who showed me that anyone can excel if they're passion aligns with their actions," said Anderson. "MIPAD brings together high-achieving people from all over who share this common pursuit of passion, and I'm proud to be honored with them at this year's program."
Following the opening of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly, the evening with MIPAD Class of 2017 will recognize and celebrate the contribution of 200 high achievers, 100 inside Africa, 100 across the African Diaspora, in four categories of Politics and Governance, Business and Entrepreneurship, Media and Culture, and Religion and Humanitarian endeavors in-line with the first pillar of the UN international decade of recognition.
MIPAD is a unique global list that identifies 200 high achievers, under 40, of African descent in public and private sectors worldwide, 100 inside Africa, 100 outside Africa in the Diaspora.
